Who Are the Mayans? part 2

Between 2500 BC and AD 250, the Mayan civilization was the most recognizable and developing bunch of humanity on the face of the earth. They lasted roughly 700 years before disappearing as part of a major force in the planet. That's not to say, they all died out, for there are Mayans alive today.

The ancient Maya civilization mainly shared a religious belief, operating on several different languages. And although sharing the same political belief, battles between cities were frequent, also noted were human sacrifice that was not something rare. The Mayans are famed for their three separate calendars, and their method for keeping track of time are very long and complicated. The three calendars were that of the Haab calendar, the Tzolkin which was used mainly for ceremonial purposes, and then the Long Count, used primarily for historical purposes considered to hold the predictions for the end of a Long Cycle. Because after 5,125 years, the Mayan Long Count calendar ends in December,2012. There are also nine writings, which contribute to the predictions of the calendar that were done by the Mayans and Spanish beliefs, deriving from the 15th and 16th centuries. Chilam Balam is what they call it.

If the alignment of the Sun with the center of the Milky Way happens, as the Mayans predict -- they mean that the winter solstice, elliptical equator and the galactic equator should become aligned, and the world will witness a coincidence of multiple heavenly bodies in the same celestial longitude, and this will be an event that will happen for the first time in 26,000 years. Astronomers have agreed that this astronomical event may be taking place on such a date.

One other significant interpretation derived from a Mayan Calendar prediction is that there have been four past Sun cycles which had vanished at the end of their cycle, causing great destruction to the world. According to the calendar we are at the moment within the 4th Sun cycle, which started 5,106 years ago, and this is predicted to come to an end on Dec. 21, 2012, in which case, it is believed that it shall cause destruction just like the previous four sun cycle ends have. However, some scientists believe that the destruction caused might not be the end of the world as we know it, but perhaps a form of destruction that will cause catastrophes within the world to change it.

Carlos Barrios, an historian and anthropologist, is reputed to have said that people write about prophesy in the name of Maya. They say that the world will end in Dec 2012 and Barrios claims that the Mayan elders are angry about this. According to them the world will not end. It will be transformed. There is in fact, a difference.

The Mayans had an amazing understanding of mathematics, and astrology which is why faith is being put in them for these predictions. Supposedly, they predicted the invasions of foreigners into their land, in the correct year that the Spanish did actually invade. However, if this was true why wouldn’t they have done something to stop it? You’ll know why in a little while.

The Mayan comprehension of time, seasons, such as the lunar cycles, the Solstices and Equinoxes, has proven to be accurate, vast and sophisticated. The Maya developed 17 different calendars some of them claiming to chart time accurately over a span of more than ten million years. The particular Mayan Calendar that has steadily drawn global attention since 1987, is called the Tzolkin or Long Count. The calendar was derived ages ago and based on the cycle of the Pleiades. As such, it is held sacred.

With indigenous calendars, the native Mayans have kept track of important turning points in history. For example, the daykeepers who studied them identified one important day in the year One Reed, Ce Acatel, as it was called. That was the day when an important ancestor was prophesied to return, “coming like a butterfly.” In western calendar, the One Reed date correlates to Easter Sunday, April 21, 1519, the day that Hernando Cortez and his fleet of 11 Spanish galleons arrived from the East at what is today called Vera Cruz, Mexico.

When the Spanish ships came toward the shore, the native people were waiting and watching to see how it would go. The billowing sails of the ships did remind the people of butterflies skimming the surface. See what the image of “butterfly” mean in esoteric language. Used as a symbol of transformation, the caterpillar is seen as it wriggles out of its larvae as if to die, but in truth, the ugly caterpillar becomes a stunning, radiant butterfly. A human being is thus compared to a struggling catterpillar as it goes into the metamorphosis of a beautiful butterfly in its spiritual ascent to the higher realms of consciousness.

This event initiated a new era, one that was anticipated through the calendars. The Maya termed the new era: the Nine Bolomtikus, or 9 years each representing 9 vast cycles of time. As the 9 cycles unfolded, the Mayan land and freedom were at times taken away from the people. Disease and disrespect dominated. What happened with the arrival of Cortez lasted until Aug 16, 1987 – a date people refer to as Harmonic Convergence. Millions of people took advantage of the latter date to share in ceremonies at sacred sites, praying for a smooth transition to a new era, the World of the Fifth Sun.

From that 1987 date until now, Mr. Barrios says,” We have been in a time when the right arm of the materialistic world is disappearing, slowly but inexorably. We are at the cusp of the era when peace begins, and people live in harmony with Mother Earth. We are no longer in the World of the Fourth Sun, but we are not yet in the World of the Fifth Sun. This is the time in-between, the transition period. As through transitions there is a colossal, global convergence of environmental destruction, social chaos, wars, and on going Earth changes.”

Thus, Carlos Barrios says, we have foreseen the rise of a New Earth via the simple, spiral mathematics of the Mayan Calendar. It will change. Everything will change. It will be the start of a new era resulting from and signified by solar meridian crossing the galactic equator, and the Earth aligning itself at the center of the galaxy of the Milky Way. And the World of the Fourth Sun will indeed end. The result is true to the idea of Transformation – Death and Rebirth. The key is not on focusing on death, but on the rebirth!!


Then the Cosmic Cross or the Cross of Christ will appear as the Sun conjoins the intersection of the Milky Way and the plane of the ecliptic. This Cosmic Cross is considered to be the embodiment of the Sacred Tree of Life, a tree remembered in all of the world’s spiritual traditions. Some observers say this alignment with the heart of the galaxy in 2012, will open a channel for cosmic energy through the Earth, cleansing it and all that dwells upon it, raising all to a higher vibration.

This process has already begun, Mr. Barrios suggests. “Change is accelerating now and it will continue to accelerate. “ If the people on earth can get through the 2012 date in good shape, without having destroyed too much of Earth, Mr Barrios says, we will rise to a new, higher level of life.”

THE MAYAN CALENDAR -- where science and spirituality meet

The Mayans are a mystery to us. They have often been described as an ancient people obsessed with Time, and this obsession was encoded in their enigmatic calendar where the gods often seemed to be playing an ominous role in making all humanity evolve from lower forms of vibrating life to higher frequencies of human etheric vibration. A unified world view such as that of the Mayan sages can only appear as a huge mystery to us. But to a civilization such as ours, which has institutionalized a sharp dividing line between religion and science – the priest or the rabbi has for instance no authority to speak in matters of science, and the university scientist has no authority to speak in matters of religion – a unified world view of spirituality and science such as that of the Mayan Calendar can only appear therefore as mysterious.


But maybe it is really we who live today in a civilization that has lost most of its contact with the living cosmos and divine reality that are considered mysterious and enigmatic or difficult to comprehend by us. Nonetheless, we instinctively, never give up seeking the Truth, as we sense intuitively that we learn what is there to learn by sensing the solutions to many of the riddles of human existence that may have originated from the Mayan Calendar as a pre-set schedule of human evolutionary growth over several great cycles of millennia.

From June 21, 2011 to October 28, 2011, something happened to make science and spirituality meet. Dr. Carl Johan Calleman describes it as that developing Awareness in the World Mind that is making it possible for us to perceive what the Shift of the Ages is about. In a simple way the idea that was googled stated that Science, mathematics, architecture, and music are actually all based on Sacred Geometry. If a picture can speak a thousand words, look up and see the image of light radiating above from a human body demonstrating three levels of crystalline Light Body as termed in the Mer-ki-vic system which goes as follows:
Merki-Va --8 pointed star tetrahedron
Merka-Va -- 12 point stellated dodecahedron
Mer-Ka-Na -- 20 point stellated icosahedron

Now is the time (June 21 to Oct. 28, 2011) for the human race to reactivate the energetic World Tree of Life where everything that happened to humankind has been recorded in order
to awaken our own spiritual BE-ing in the process of Remembering our forgotten divine origins, as Forgetfulness was necessary to do the job of making us search and to keep on searching for our lost divinity in the midst of wars, chaos, economic collapse, climate change. We can't ignore the fact that we have morphed into a higher state of consciousness, perhaps amazingly so or despite our fears of inadequacy.

The challenge of Chiron the wounded healer is for us to get beyond the crises over existing on Earth in a balanced way as Higher consciousness (Uranus) has no place to exist without a body (Saturn). As we move into the age of Aquarius we are being taught to bridge heaven and earth by the ecological and financial crises. We have to battle fierce winds, snow storms, floods in areas where no floods came before, earthquakes, raging forest fires, illnesses, heart attacks, etc. Chiron makes us electrical, as we are meant to manifest the higher energy of transmuting negative energies to their positive polarity if we are to survive the ecological imbalances we brought upon ourselves due to our ignorance or living in denial of karmic law and excesses.

"Spirituality" is a word that has nothing to do with religion, all fundamentalist religions. Spirituality refers to our energetic body of light (see picture again and reflect). The Mayan Calendar can be regarded as the Theory of Everything (or complete theory) that was anticipated by Stephen Hawkins in his book, ‘A Brief History of Time’. Now that the West is recovering its own spiritual theory by means of paradigm research, active contemplation of the cycles of time is a very potent way of moving right into the Nine dimensions – the Galactic Center – the location of the highest states of consciousness that exist. This is where our brain waves can pulse the Galaxy’s very high frequency gamma waves.

The ancient Mayas believed that their Long Count calendar measured the amount of time required by the human species to evolve to a higher level of awareness. This will happen when our planet and the Sun come into resonant alignment with the Galactic Center on Dec 21, 2012, and humanity will step over the threshold of consciousness and begin the next Great World Age. The Mayan Calendar inspires us to see that everything that exists is an expression of a profound and ordered intelligence. Everywhere you look you see traces of a Great Mind that does everything with a purpose.

Cosmologists say that the universe was created about 1.5 million years ago, as Carl Johan Callman, famed lecturer on the Mayan Calendar says. They might be more accurate to say 16.4 billion years ago. The dates on the stone stele in Yucatan are either the same as the scientific theory gives for the major evolutionary transitions or they are very close. It boggles the mind to think that our geologists and biologists have only began to come up with estimates of human beginning as its long distant past, in the past 150 years. Darwin published his ‘Origins of the Species’ in 1859 but the real advances in the study of hominid culture began during the mid-twentieth century in Tanzania with the work of Louis and Mary Leakey. The Coba stele dated in the first century A.D, were deciphered only in 1950.

As the true meaning of the calendar is solved it becomes clear that we are living in a creation that evolves according to a pre-set schedule aiming at a completion of one great cycle of 26,000 years and to begin another new great cycle of awareness between the years 2011 and 2012. What we need to realize today, Callman says, is that the Mayan Calendar is a universal calendar of potential value for all of humanity regardless of religion, race, gender or political ideas. The Mayan Calendar is a tool for unifying humanity and its various traditions of thought and making humanity realize that there is a purpose to our life on this earth as part of a larger plan. Thus, the only way to end all wars is to bring all exercise of power into harmony with the Creator’s will.

It appears that the future looks bold, bright, and beautiful. Yes, we are not on the brink of disaster, we are on the brink of a Golden Age. So keep making that affirmation that the only way to change the course of this planet is to bring the Light, Love, Power and Purity of Consciousness of its Creator so that poverty can be overcome by the masses who feel they have been oppressed in many ways by the power elite. We, the ten percent of enlightened earth humans, have to awaken people to the reality that a small elite have misused power to divide the citizens of the world and set brother against brother in an endless struggle for power and control. Thus the only way to end war is to bring all exercise of power into harmony with God’s will. For war and poverty are not parts of God’s Will. As the sponsor of the Golden Age of Aquarius, St Germaine has been given a special dispensation coming from the throne of the Alpha and Omega of Creation to remove poverty and the consciousness of war from the planet Earth big time so that the Golden Age of Aquarius can now begin.

The way to change the course of this planet is to educate humanity that the changes scheduled as per the Mayan calendar are for the uplifting of all. In the Columbia Conference of 14, 20, 24, 25 December, 2007, St Germaine gave six teachings channeled through Kim Michaels wherein he challenges those of us who are doing healing service to go beyond healing, to give More to service by uplifting people’s consciousness and not to leave them at the same level of consciousness where we, the healers, found them. He goes: You have to take them out of that level where you found them, to step up, to raise them to a higher level of awareness, to shake them out of the mechanization of consciousness by which healing services can be paid as we normally see in hospitals, wellness clinics, body fitness programs, or spas. Healing service is not enough; we have to do more to know exactly where we are in the repeating pattern of consciousness of Creation described by the Mayan calendar that looks like a pyramid which consists of nine (9) levels or time cycles. Here is a quick run through of the previous time cycles and the Consciousness that each level produced.

1. Cellular cycle -- beginning 16.4 billion years ago, developed a consciousness of Action/Reaction. During the First cycle, all of the physical laws, Chemical compounds, Star fields, then solar systems and planets were developed.

2. Mammalian cycle – beginning 830 million years ago, developed the consciousness of Stimulus/Response. In the Second cycle, individual cells which were the product of the Cellular cycle started developing stimulus/response and the survival mechanism. Stimulus/response differs from action/reaction in the amount of consciousness present.

3. Familial cycle – beginning 41 million years ago, developed the consciousness of Stimulus/Individual Response. The Third cycle was the recognition of individual consciousness and the establishment of family relationship (recognition of individuals) rather than a herd, school or flock mentality. Our abilities to interact with the universe.

4. Tribal cycle – beginning 2 million years ago, developed the consciousness of Similarities/Differences. The Fourth consciousness cycle developed the tool, which we call “the Mind” to detect similarities and differences in our experience.

5. Cultural cycle—beginning 102,000 years ago, developed the consciousness of Reasons. During the Fifth cycle, the leading edge of consciousness was developing reasons for any and every thing. These “Shared Reasons,” are the basis of all cultures.6. National cycle -- Planetary cycle – beginning in the year 3112 B.C. developed the consciousness of Law. In the Sixth cycle, the concept of law or right or wrong developed.

7. Planetary cycle – beginning in the year 1755 A.D., developed the consciousness of Power. In the Seventh cycle, which is from 1755 A.D. to the present, we have been given power by the Creator derived from natural laws.

8. Galactic cycle – beginning January 5, 1999, developing the consciousness of Ethics. During this time, and those of us who are already in embodiment are conscious of further organizing powers that now exist to ensure the continued survival and evolution of the human race and our playground Mother Earth. So here we are with Ethics overriding Power in the 8th Galactic consciousness cycle. We are now globally working to eliminate graft and corruption on all levels -- in government, big corporations and small businesses.

9. Universal cycle – beginning Feb 10, 2011, we will be developing the unlimited ability of Conscious Co-Creation with the Creator.


Each time that this pattern has repeated it has done so 20 times faster than previous cycle. According to Dr. Carl Johan Calleman this quite handily explains why time seems to be speeding up. Time is not speeding up. It is creation itself that is speeding up with more and more happening in less and less time. Miracles are starting to happen now to give us an idea of what it means to enter into a Golden Age of universal Peace and Freedom from human limitations, once we have shifted from the low consciousness of anger, hate, pain, unforgiveness, and death into a Higher Consciousness of our divinity with the help of destructive climate changes. Yes, parts of the planet Earth which do not rise to conform with the higher vibrational frequencies required by the fifth dimensional New Earth will remain with the lower third dimensional earth with its limitations of suffering, disease, ageing, and death.

We know exactly where we are in this repeating pattern as described above. This information makes it possible for us to put forth educated guesses as to the content of our future.

Indeed we are co-creating with the Creator to build a beautiful, happy world. Ask St. Germaine. As the true meaning of the calendar is solved, it becomes clear that we are living in a creation that evolves according to a pre-set schedule, i.e. the ancient Maya were keeping track of the flow, rate, and intent of Creation itself of the Long Count (Mayan Calendar) which covers the long process of Evolution of all humanity.
