2012: A NEW BEGINNING

The Macrocosm of the Kabbalah is the cosmological background within which Astrology operates and functions.

Here I am going to talk about the Precession of the Equinox, a cosmic phenomenon that is hard to comprehend at first but yields to great understanding of the laws of the universe when openly sought. We are here to demonstrate the idea that Science and Spirituality are now One and can prove that God is alive and in charge. That we have nothing to fear, for He has it all figured out, and we only need to Trust.



The Great Cycle of 26,000 years that is ending at this time 2012-2013/ actually covers a Whole round of the Zodiacal Ages – from Aries, Taurus, Gemini, Cancer, Leo, Virgo, Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, assigned with two thousand years each. Now after two thousand years of Pisces we enter the Age of Aquarius, a Golden Age, the Masters declare. But after Pisces, the next cycle’s beginning ought to be in Aries, as purported logically by our human mind. But it seems our mind does not comprehend fully the Mind of the Universe (God, or call him the Nameless One) whose intention propels the movement of the stars. If you doubt it you could ask the Supreme Being of all creation, why are we now in Aquarius po? Why is the Earth going backwards instead of forward? Answer: because that’s the ‘logic’ of the stars. You are not going forward but go back exponentially to where you came from. Twenty six thousand years of separateness is a long time. Aquarius is the Eleventh sign, sign of Oneness with the Creator and All that is; that’s where you are returning after a long, long time of separation from each other.





Ahhh, you say. How incredibly true this is for us who have probably forgotten who we are, where we come from and where we are going.

This is the perplexing seemingly illogical state of the planets we encounter at this time of the polar Shift on Earth when the solar system is going into Galactic Alignment with the Galactic Center, something that has not happened before. It could mean the end of existence as we know it, in as much as the galactic center is a Black Hole and may suck in stars that have no more purpose for living, in order to be renewed or re-created. What is important is to understand what this all mean.



It appears that the Round of the Zodiac occurs not clockwise but counterclockwise, through what astrologers call the Precession of the Equinox. What does precession mean? The term precession typically refers to the wobble of the earth as it orbits around the Sun at the moment of the equinoxes and solstices. Because of this wobble the position of earth at the moment of the equinoxes and solstices will change relative to the background of the stars. An annual motion is about 50.3 seconds of arc per year or 1 degree every 71.6 years. The process is slow but cumulative, intended to reach a determined goal, that is of coming Home after a long Journey.



Call it Ascension, it points to the Ladder where Unconditional Love (of God, your true lover) opens for you a thousand doors in glorious, sparkling multi-dimensional prism of colors. Something that eyes have not seen, ears have not heard, the other senses have not experienced. A complete precession cycle covers a period of approximately 25,765 years rounded off at 26,000 years called the Great Year, which is where we are at now. Science and Spirituality are finally merging. It is also called the Platonic Year during which the Equinox regresses to a full 360 degrees through all the twelve constellations of the Zodiac. A precessional movement is also the determining factor in the length of an astrological age.



In ancient times the Precession of the Equinox referred to the motion of the Equinox relative to the background of the Zodiac. It is equivalent to the modern understanding of keeping time in the Great Year marked by the ancient Mayans as 2012 which culminates a 26,000 year cycle and begins a new one that rises to higher levels of reverberating dimensions. That’s where we are being led by the stars, if we are ready for a new beginning, a new cycle of probably a super-human/



Hipparchus is credited with the discovering that the positions of the Equinox move westward along the ecliptic compared to the fixed stars on the celestial sphere. He was a transitional figure between Babylonian astronomy and the work of Ptolemy. Based on our current Wikipedia, supported by history and Babylonian observations, Hipparchus improved the accuracy of astronomy, trigonometry. He can never be sufficiently praised, no one has ever done more to prove that man is related to the stars and that our souls are part of heaven.



Hipparchus of Nicea was a Greek astronomer and mathematician of the Hellenistic period c. 190 BC – c. 120 BC. He is considered the founder of trigonometry but is most famous for his incidental discovery of Precession of the Equinoxes. Born in Nicea, Bithynia (now Iznik, Turkey) and probably died in the island of Rhodes, he is considered the greatest ancient astronomical observer and by some of the greatest overall astronomers of antiquity. He made use of the observations and perhaps the mathematical techniques accumulated over centuries by the Chaldeans (mostly priests) from Babylonia, solving several problems of spherical trigonometry with solar and lunar theories, thus developing a reliable method to predict solar eclipses. He is however, most reputed for the discovery of the Earth’s precession.





The Soltices mark the time when the Sun stops to regain its ease and balance after going through busy Spring Equinox (Equinox meaning equal day and night) and Autumn Equinox), as time divides itself into four seasons -- spring and autumn with the Summer and Winter Solstices in-between to maintain equilibrium or balance. Later on we will see why maintaining a Pillar of Equilibrium or Balance called the Tree of Life which supports astrological principles determines the survival or life of humanity.



Thus, Time does not follow a linear time of moving in a straight line starting with a dot, ending in another dot, but upwards in a spiral, cyclic motion indicative of World without End. The reverse order suggests why we the People are in turmoil or confusion of belief systems as regards to the meaning of Existence, while the planet Earth wobbles in its axis, orbiting round the Sun in a slowly precessing order. Because Time as we see it with our limited five senses is linear and reduces us to being dumb. “We are all born in ignorance but we work very hard, Benjamin Franklin says, to remain stupid ().” Note: we need to spike this immensely serious topic with a little humor so we won’t easily give up the search of higher levels of knowledge to learn about universal principles or Laws to go out of sync and play games instead on-line or off to the golf links or just be very physically active, uncaring about why we exist.





It is said that God does not exist. That is to say, according to the Hebraic Kabbalah, that God is beyond existence. That prior to Existence coming into being there was No-thing and that when God willed it, Existence emerged out of No-thing into Something. Thus everything and everyone is immersed in God, as in a vast cosmic Ocean, the whole supported and maintained by God’s will. Should God remove God’s will, Existence would vanish and everything returns to No-thing. Tradition however, tells us that Existence should not only emerge but develop so that God might behold God’s reflection in the Mirror of Existence which is made in God’s image.



When we develop our sixth sense, we are surprised to see that time reverses itself, and it becomes a world without end, immortal. Time is thus seen as coming from the Upper Worlds –eternal, and unchanging then it goes into a mixed- up set of patterns of philosophical thought to make a devolution of ever-changing forms of lifestyles encouraging freedom to do whatever pleases the senses yet sensual pleasure becomes so elusive and impermanent such that the depths of sensual desire is seemingly bent on ending us in illness and death. Then the religious controversy which is waning on the subject of reincarnation sets in. Because Time is a continuum and the incarnating entity has to go forth and back, forth and back in its struggle to recover its former image of God’s Pure Essence and Perfection in the Upper Worlds of unblemished joys. Meanwhile he is lost in the woods of ignorance “though he works very hard to remain stupid” attests Benjamin Franklin.



It simply gets to be thrilling to erase, cancel, demolish, forget all about our previous divine existence in the Upper Worlds while we set out to journey in the Lower worlds to choose a path, try out a number of paths in our descent to experience how it is to be delightfully human and be tempted to choose right from wrong. It is exceedingly fun to be free as a bird, unaware that birds form a perfect V formation without any of them leading, but simply manifesting joy in the act of following their inner flow on principles or laws of being birds. While we humans, delighting in our gift of free will, choose to be bedeviled by dark, moving tantalizing shadows, we continue to be entangled with, engulfed as it were, by increasing contact with bodies of density as one love experience is not enough, to be utterly suffused, confused, even edified by seemingly holy ideological blinkers, blindly separating us from the Source. But no more, there is Climate Change to remind you that the most structured aspects of your life, such as your marriage or multi-relationships are all potential sources of trouble, in so far as they have become dull routines. For even the best relationships have to be substantially redefined at this time having Saturn opposing Uranus, energies of form and force/ Achieving a balance between the Saturn energy of order, discipline and predictability and the Uranus energy of change and original experience is one of the greatest challenges in life. Both Saturn (form) and Uranus (force) rule the Aquarian archetype. We have entered a golden age of Light, because we have remembered where we came from.





If we insist we have no remembrance of immortality and if we are in a state of constant denial, our ebbing sense of divinity will yet keep dogging us as dogs amaze us by their undying devotion to their master, rendering us bewitched, bothered, and bewildered as a gig goes by what’s lacking. What’s lacking we find out with the speedy propulsion of terrifying calamities such as superstorms, earthquakes, rising sea levels, increasing temperature, deadly conflicts is the Light. We then grope and ask even for just a glimmer of light to crystallize that original pure essence of soulful serenity we used to know and now we so much seek in yogic exercises in order to be healed of illnesses that seem to abound in order to end life, despite the assurance of medical science that it has found the answers and no matter how much we invest in cosmetics supported by surgery, a youthful form appears to elude us. Force of spirit would assure us that the less we depend and delight on form, the form paradoxically becomes increasingly an invisible, intangible force that miraculously improves the health, slows down the ageing process, makes one integratively prosperous without diminishing others, and discovers how the Supreme Being performs his magic by focusing on the Power of Life that emanates from Light.





It has been reported that a similar dogged search for the Light tends to help the progress of a soul that has passed on the Other side to help him rise to the higher realms of heaven that constitute Truth, Compassion, Beauty, and Bliss. And the poor entity who has passed on, needs our prayers to be in the Light if he can get it, because he failed to pray enough, meditate enough, served enough as embodied in the Laws of his Being when in existence.



The image of God is not God although it might reflect all the Divine Attributes, the Kabbalah says in Halevi’s book Anatomy of Fate. So it came about, Tradition tells us, that the ten basic aspects of Divinity emanated out of No-thing into manifestation. This something was the most perfect manifestation. It was, is and shall be for as long as Existence is willed to exist, the eternal and unchanging model upon which all other lesser manifestations are based.



As the Divine and perfect image of God it acts as the intermediary between the Godhead and the lower worlds that were to be created. The first manifestation of principles is the instrument of Divine Government through which God’s will unfolds its purpose. In many traditions, it is called by many names. In the West as ‘The World without End’ in Christendom and the World of Aziluth in Kabbalah. Aziluth is Hebrew word meaning both to ‘emanate’ and ‘to stand near’, that is to emanate from and stand near the Godhead.



There are many metaphysical schemes or esoteric philosophies gomg around the world to demonstrate the highest World, but the Tree of Life in the Kabbalah, is the one most used in the West. In the Ten Divine Attributes or principles are set out according to a definite arrangement.
